PTG3: Gasification of Middle-Bosnian Canton – Gas Pipelines: Zenica – Travnik, Travnik – Gornji Vakuf and Travnik - Jajce

Project Location:

FB&H; Middle-Bosnian Canton

Project Aim:

Project Priority:

Middle -Term Project

The aim of this Project is to expand natural gas market with a possibility of connecting it to the existing system. To satisfy the overall natural gas demand of the territory of Middle-Bosnian Canton and further territory, these gas pipelines should be connected to the planned Zenica – Bosanski Brod gas pipeline (Project PTG1). These gas pipelines are foreseen to be connected in the future to the planned gas pipeline in Una – Sana Canton (Project PTG4).

Project documentation: Pre-feasibility Study – Techno-Economical Study for gasification of Middle-Bosnian Canton

The Project foresees gasification of Middle-Bosnian Canton creating possibilities of introducing natural gas in all consumption sectors in this region. Realization of this gasification project is the most possible in the region of Lašva river valley, then in the region of upper course of Vrbas river while the city of Jajce is considered only in the function of constructing a transit gas pipeline to Banja Luka, Bihać and other cities. This Project could be realized together with the current Project of Water Supply called „Blue Water“, which comprises – in addition to the cities in the  Lašva river valley - also the municipality of Zenica, what means that mutual corridors could be used for these two infrastructure projects. This refers to the section leading from Perin Han – Sajtovići – Vitez – Novi Travnik to Travnik.

Estimated Construction Cost:

The total investments are estimated at :

Phase I – Region of Lašva river valley:   13 million EURO

Phase II – Region of Vrbas river valley:   20 million EURO

Note: Project of Phase I as a priority one is under consideration by the EBRD for approval.

PGG3: Gasification of the Cities in Middle-Bosnian Canton

Project location:

FB&H; Middle-Bosnian Canton

Project Aim:

Project Priority:

Middle-term Project

The introduction of natural gas as a new energy form would create the conditions for further market expansion. Stress is placed on exploring the possibilities of applying new technologies (combined heat and power (CHP) generation) and on natural gas applications (for cooling, hot-water preparation, natural gas in transportation applications) in order to reach the consumption of annual volumes as evenly as possible.
