The development of BH-Gas will be based on the skilled personal and on providing the funds necessary to follow up the development trends being applied in the world, which, however, can be implemented in our country too.

By supporting ever-increasing natural gas consumption in our country, BH-Gas strives for establishing a regulatory and economic framework, which would allow that all competitive advantages of natural gas are used.

The initiated reform of the natural gas sector should be implemented in a way that natural gas sector is a matter of competence of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina and not of the Entities.

The reform comprises the following activities at the State level:

› Restructuring and organizing the natural gas sector
    - Adoption of Gas law
    - Establishing an Independent Regulatory Agency for gas
    - Founding a single Gas transmission company
› Preparing strategy to develop the energy sector
› Preparing strategy to protect environment
› Introduction of tariff system

Finally, this would mean the implementation of the recommendations made in the EU-Gas Directive and liberalization of the market and, at the same time, a creating a precondition for integration into a single European market free of administrative and technical barriers of the national states.
